How to create a ‘tell a friend’ form?

The form builder allows you to create a ‘tell a friend’ form, which is used to spread the word about websites.
It enables a user visiting your site to recommend it to others.
Creating a ‘tell a friend’ form is really easy – It is essentially based on the ‘auto response’ option.

Following are steps to create a ‘tell a friend’ form:
1- Enter the form builder in order to create a new form.
2- Drag a Label element in to the design area (for the form’s title) and change its text to ‘Tell a Friend’

3- Drag another Label element below the first one in order to add some text on what the form is about. For example: Please enter your friends email address in order to recommend this site to him/her.

4- Drag a third Label element and change the text to “Friends email address”.
5- Drag an Email element, place it below this label.
6- While the element is selected go to its element settings and enter the text “Friends email address” in the element “caption” field.
7- Make sure that the email element is defined as mandatory and that its “Send Copy” checkbox is turned on. This will send an email to the email address filled in by the user.

8- Go to the “Form Settings” and fill in a message in the “Email User Message” field. This message will appear at the beginning of the email sent to friends. Make sure you use [n] when you want to create a line break. For example: Hi,[n]I wanted to tell you about this great site i found[n]Its called FormLogix.

9- Add a submit button.
10- Save the form.

Take Note:
The email sent as a result of this process is the regular layout email. However, if you wish to customize the auto response email sent to the friends you can do so by using the ‘Custom User Email‘ option instead of the ‘Email User Message’ (in bullet 8).
